Overview

Meet Auto Record is a Chrome extension that automatically starts recording and transcription when you join a Google Meet meeting.

Data Collection

This extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit any user data. No personal information, browsing history, or meeting content is accessed or shared.

Permissions Used

• activeTab: Used solely to interact with the Google Meet page DOM to click recording and transcription buttons automatically.
• Host permission (meet.google.com): Required to inject the content script that automates the recording UI on Google Meet pages.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not communicate with any external servers or third-party services. All functionality runs entirely locally in your browser.

Recordings and Transcripts

Recordings and transcripts are handled entirely by Google Meet’s native functionality and stored in your Google Drive according to your Google Workspace settings. This extension only automates the UI clicks to start them — it does not access, process, or store any recording or transcript data.
